When I called Kpsc the PRO told that the discussions regarding the postponement is in progress and a final dicision would be taken in a day or so.

So there is a good possibility to postponene the exams.

Keep posting.

Regarding Postponment of KAS Mains exams: High Court Order of 2nd aug 2012..........

High Court of Karnataka
Daily Orders of the Case Number : WP 17942/2010 for the date of order 02/08/2012
Honble Justice CHIEF JUSTICE AND ARAVIND KUMAR
02/08/2012
Order in WP 17942/2010
Present: In W.P.No.17942/2010
Smt.Jayna Kothari, Advocate for Petitioner
Sri.Devdas, AGA for Respondent Nos.1 to 4
Sri.Kalyan Basavaraj, ASG for Respondent No.5

In W.P.No.38200/2011
Smt.P.Anu Chengappa, Advocate for Petitioner
Sri.Devdas, AGA for Respondent Nos.1 and 3
Sri.Reuben Jacob, Advocate for Respondent No.2

In W.P.No.10223/2012
Smt.Bhavana A., Advocate for Petitioner
Sri.Devdas, AGA for Respondent Nos.1, 2 & 4
Sri.Reuben Jacob, Advocate for Respondent No.3

We were inclined to pass orders directing the Respondents to adopt the Central Government List, Annexure-E since inordinate time has already passed and innumerable opportunities has been granted to the Respondent State Government to come up with their list, if it is found wise to do so.

2. Mr.Devdas, AGA states that in principle, a decision has been taken to adhere to the Central Government List of posts identified to be suitable for appointment for the disabled citizenry of the country. Yet another adjournment is prayed for on behalf of the State Government. In these circumstances we grant four weeks time to Respondents, as prayed for. However, if no list is forthcoming for our consideration within a period of four weeks, we direct the State Government to adopt the aforementioned Central Government List, Annexure-E.

3. We also direct that no recruitment henceforward shall be done contrary to the Central Government List. If for any reason the State Government feels that it is not possible to adhere to the Central Government List and with regard to any particular post, it shall have to get the clearance of the Court in these proceedings.

4. So far as the Karnataka Public Service Commission is concerned, we direct maintenance of Status quo even in respect of examinations or considerations which are in the pipeline. This is for the reason that we apprehend a spate of litigation which is delirious to the interest of public and the candidate themselves, if there were to be a dispute as to the reservations that the State Government has notified and may be contrary to the Central Government List.

5. Mr.Devdas, AGA says as soon as the list is finalised, copies will be served on the counsel for the Petitioners.

Renotify on 10.09.2012.

Please can anybody tell what's going on? Please give authentic information

From the above posting, the high court order clealy mentions to maintain status quo for the recruitments already in pipe line. So there is no reason for Kpsc to postpone the exams.

Why is this speculation? Just incase if kpsc violates this order then the commission members will be in serious trouble isn't it? I feel we should keep our focus on 25th august date hoping that there are not going to be any surprises.

Anonymous said...

So far as the Karnataka Public Service Commission is concerned, we direct maintenance of Status quo even in respect of examinations or considerations which are in the pipeline.
this means exam cannot be held as per existing rules .............so great chance of p0stpone

Anonymous said...

So do we need to reappear for prelims again?

Anonymous said...

after the order there has been stay for interview of the prob 2 women and child dev which is at the final stage. Mains exam is an intermediate exam which is not final. So the order says not abt exam its abt reservation for blind to go with central rules.the exams not catering blind reservation r to be stopped

Anonymous said...

status quo can be interpreted either way................so wait for kpsc ........

Anonymous said...

Friends,

There are several issues with reservation policy followed by state which does not align with central government. Now there is going to be a cleanup with new rules for reservation. We need such good judgements from judiciary. This will avoid confusions over which corruption rules.

What is God Particle? 2 or 5 marker, post an appropriate answer

THIS ANSWER FOR GOD PARTICLE
The Higgs boson or Higgs particle is a proposed elementary particle in the Standard Model of particle physics. The Higgs boson's existence would have profound importance in particle physics because it would prove the existence of the hypothetical Higgs field—the simplest[4] of several proposed mechanisms for the breaking of the electroweak symmetry, and the means by which elementary particles acquire mass.[Note 2] The leading explanation is that a field exists that has non-zero strength everywhere—even in otherwise empty space—and that particles acquire mass by interacting with this so-called Higgs field. If this theory is true, a matching particle—the smallest possible excitation of the Higgs field—should also exist and be detectable, providing a crucial test of the theory. Consequently, it has been the target of a long search in particle physics. One of the primary goals of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland—the most powerful particle accelerator and one of the most complicated scientific instruments ever built—is to test the existence of the Higgs boson and measure its properties which would allow physicists to validate this cornerstone of modern theory.
The Higgs boson is named for Peter Higgs who, along with two other teams, proposed the mechanism that suggested such a particle in 1964[6][7][8] and was the only one to explicitly predict the massive particle and identify some of its theoretical properties.[9] In mainstream media it is often referred to as "the God particle", after the title of Leon Lederman's book on the topic (1993). Although the proposed particle is both important and elusive, the epithet is strongly disliked by many physicists, who regard it as inappropriate sensationalism since the particle has nothing to do with God nor any mystical associations,[10][11] and because the term is misleading: the crucial focus of study is to learn how the symmetry breaking mechanism takes place in nature - the search for the boson is part of, and a key step towards, this goal.
According to the Standard Model, the Higgs particle is a boson, a type of particle that allows multiple identical particles to exist in the same place in the same quantum state. It has no spin, electric charge, or colour charge. It is also very unstable, decaying into other particles almost immediately. Some extensions of the Standard Model predict the existence of more than one kind of Higgs boson.
On 4 July 2012, the CMS and the ATLAS experimental teams at the LHC independently announced that they each confirmed the formal discovery of a previously unknown boson of mass between 125–127 GeV/c2, whose behaviour so far has been "consistent with" a Higgs boson. Proof of the Higgs field (by observing the associated particle), and evidence of its properties, is likely to greatly affect human understanding of the universe, validate the final unconfirmed part of the Standard Model as essentially correct, indicate which of several current particle physics theories are more likely correct, and open up "new" physics beyond current theories.[12] If the Higgs boson were shown not to exist, other alternative sources for the Higgs mechanism would need to be considered.

i can certainly see that mr hoip is all happy, :) well lets wait until september 10, will the KAS mains exam be conducted this year for certain pls confirm,

There are three theories which are doing the rounds.
According to the first theory, exams will be held before upsc exams.
According to the second theory, exams will be held in the month of November.
According to the third theory, exams will held in the beginning of next year.
So, we should psychologically be prepared for all the above possibilities.

i booked the train ticket to blore also thinking the exam is postponed to sept 14th... this is so frustrating.

Anonymous said...

Have not received acknowledgement till now, what do you suggest to be done?
Now, when will they post the hall tickets?

Anonymous said...

Ya many have mistaken it that exam will be on sept 14. Well guys if we think logically there are very few chances of exam happening before upsc because as per the timetable exam should go on for 21 days and after the court hearing kpsc should give at least a weeks time for students to make their arrangements like booking tickets, stay etc so that will go upto say sept 17 and if count 21 days from 17th it's going to be 7th of oct which is highly impossible because dates would clash with upsc mains...this is my analysis.

aspirant said...

ur analysis is absolutely correct man... the exam will be in 3rd week november for sure.

and to the guy who has not got ack:
dont worry, u will get hall ticket.. the final check will be done at the time of interview. so even if u have submitted any document/ certificate wrong they wont mind that. looks like ur a rookie, welcome to the league.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the welcome..When will we receive our hall tickets?

This recruitment process is rather slow and discouraging especially for aspirants who have another ten things on hand...
No wonder many quality people back out from writing these exams.

aspirant said...

we'll get the hall tickets 3 weeks before the exam. but as the exam has got postponed, we cant predict wen they will send the hall tickets. the only thing u shud do now is study, and forget everything.
kpsc has always been sickly unpredictable, always aim higher and attack upsc. and therefore i got exams coming up on oct 5th which neither gets preponed nor postponed for all times sake..

if selected we r going to serve under the govt and if we r so disgusted with the govt why do we want to enter govt service?
private sector with all its so called efficiency is maybe the way for us.is it not?

Anonymous said...

I feel there is nothing wrong in pointing out at a mistake. We need to be assertive weather it is government, private or our own affair. If you think efficiency should be restricted to only private companies then why do we need to have government services at all. Government service does not mean workers take salary every month, sit and eat. It needs to be more efficient with proactive attitude than a pvt company service else one or the other day everything will end up with pvt. Now please don't tell only you do after taking a job in govt.

High Court dismisses petition seeking deferment of exams
Bangalore, Nov 29, 2012, DHNS:
The High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition seeking the postponement of ‘C’ and ‘D’ category post examinations conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). The exams are scheduled to be held between December 15, 2012 and January 6, 2013.

Hearing a petition by Vishwanath and 10 other differently-abled persons, Justice A N Venugopala Gowda dismissed the petition but gave the petitioners an option.
“Recruitment and conducting examination being service matters, liberty is granted to petitioners to approach the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal,” he said.

The petitioners, seeking postponement of the examination, had submitted that there are several examinations scheduled by other departments on the same days — the dates of which, clashed with exams being conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

Clash of schedules

Seeking a stay or postponement of examinations, the petitioners had made it clear that one reason behind their request for deferral lay in the Forest Department’s decision to conduct its exams for officers’ posts between December 15 and 19.

Similarly, the exams for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) were due to start from December 23. In addition, the University Grant Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) examination is scheduled to be held on December 30, and the Food Corporation of India is conducting its exams on January 6.

In response to demands for exam date deferrals, the KPSC in its submission said that as the examinations are already beyond the scheduled date, they cannot be postponed.
It added that an estimated 16,000 candidates are due to appear for the exams.

so now start studying

so no question of postponement of exam is't it?

Ppl there is still chance for postponement as we have approached KPSC directly to consider the NET etc exams during same period after the HC judgement.

hi..
if kaveri issue heats up then it will be inconvinence for us because of transportation problms...especially for outsiders...dont know what measures kpsc will take in the interest of student....let they think twice about this before exams....its our request.

rajeev said...

All the best for the exams candidates.. one thing, KPSC is really unfair with respect to the time tables because many aspirants will miss the exams because of other exams which are scheduled at that time itself.. even i have RFO mains at that time.. i am surprised how court to couldn't help us.. it's really unfortunate for our part.. and it wasn't a right time to announce a time table in hurry to surprise those who have been waiting so long after premiums result jus to crash with all these mix up and amidst Christmas and new year.. i am afraid many abled aspirants may loose plot to study..very unfortunate..

Where is your center
